The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities during non-school hours. Students are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of program activities that focus on community service, personal skill development, and social recreation. Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.
- Friday, February 7, 14, 21, & 28 E-Sports league - Course code #28188
We will be offering an E-Sports league where we will be taking students to UCI to participate in an E-Sports tournament against each middle school in the district. Students will be allowed to play on PCs, or use controllers from any of their favorite consoles. The game that will be played is Overwatch. The course runs on Fridays from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. and will cost $40 for the program. (Purchase of the game is not required.)
- Saturday, February 8 Monster Jam Excursion - Course code #28179
We will be going to MONSTER JAM for the first time as a Middle School Program event. We will be there from 4:00p.m-9:30p.m. The cost of the course will be $40 and will cover admission, pizza for dinner, drinks, transportation, and supervision.
- Thursday, February 13, 2020 Galentine’s Day - Course code #23493
Bring your best gal friends and join us for our second annual Galentine’s Day Girl Empowerment class. We will be discussing the importance of self-compassion, learning self-defense and encouraging girls to build each other up.
- Tuesdays and Thursdays February 25 – March 19, 2020 Co-ed Volleyball Tournament - Course code #23488
Bump, set, and spike in this fun structured after-school program that covers volleyball skills such as serving and passing. Teams compete against other middle schools at the end of the session in a district-wide tournament.
