The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities during non-school hours. Students are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of program activities that focus on community service, personal skill development, and social recreation. Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.
• Youth Action Team (YAT) – Mondays & Wednesdays YAT is a free afterschool program where students go on volunteer projects throughout Orange County. Meetings are Monday’s afterschool from 3:00-3:45 p.m. in The Commons, and projects are Wednesday’s afterschool from 3:00-5:30 p.m. If your child is interested in joining YAT, please have them come to a Monday meeting so I can give them the necessary paperwork to sign up.
• Galentine’s Day – Wednesday, February 13 “What is Galentine’s Day you ask?” It’s only the best unofficial National Holiday to celebrate your best gal pals!” – Leslie Knope. This is a unique course we are offering to all IUSD Middle School Girls to teach them to embrace being a young woman, build each other up with positivity and encouragement, magnify inner beauty, and to network with other girls their age. For only $10 we are providing a character development course, self-defense course, dinner, self-care time, and a movie!
• Volleyball – Tuesday’s & Thursday’s, February 19 - March 14 Get ready to bump, set and spike your way through this upcoming sport! IT’S VOLLEYBALL SEASON! This sport is easy to pick up and great to play with a big group of friends. All level of players are welcomed to join us! Course ID#: 12811
