In response to the high interest from parents for support resources and virtual presentations, please review the following three consolidated resources:

  1. Parent Videos and Resources: These short and engaging video Parent Pep Talks are designed to offer strategies and suggestions for some of the greatest challenges parents are currently facing.  This series of videos begins with Adult Self-Care because we often take care of our children before we take care of ourselves. They are followed by videos that provide practical strategies for thriving through the ever-complex adolescent years.
  2. Upcoming Virtual Parent Presentation: “What You Can Do – Notice The Signs. Have the Conversation. Give the Response” Monday 3/22 at 6:00 p.m.  The sooner a mental health or substance concern is identified and addressed, the better the outcome for your child or teen. Join us for an informative presentation on identifying substance use warning signs and recent trends during the pandemic. Learn helpful tips on how to start conversations with your child about drug use and discover strategies to work through resistance when help is needed.  In partnership with the Irvine Family Resource Center and OC Revive Community Mental Health & Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program: Speakers- Chandra Medina, Associate Marriage & Family Therapist with OC Revive in collaboration with IUSD IPD School Resource Officers.
