The School Site Council is a representative group of students, parents, teachers and administrators at Venado. Members of the School Site Council (SSC) participate in developing recommendations in matters pertaining to Venado and its educational program. The committee members plan and assist in implementing and evaluating the programs, and review our School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and Title 1 Program. The SSC also gives feedback about our Comprehensive Safety Plan, Technology Plan, and the District Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

Students: There are currently two (2) 7th grade student representative positions available to serve two years on the SSC. Students interested must have a minimum of a 2.0 GPA last year.

Parents: There are currently two (2) representative positions available for parents of 7th grade students and one (1) representative position for a parent of an 8th grade student.

Meetings are held 3 times per year, once per trimester, from 3:15 p.m. until approximately 4:45 p.m.

If you have an interest in being a part of this important group, please pick up a SSC Parent or Student Interest form from the Venado front office and return in by September 20. If needed, there will be an election process to select our representatives.
