The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities during non-school hours. Students are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of program activities that focus on community service, personal skill development, and social recreation. Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.
* Youth Action Team (YAT) – Mondays & Wednesdays
YAT is a free afterschool program where students go on volunteer projects throughout Orange County. Meetings are Mondays after school from 3:00-3:45 in The Commons, and projects are Wednesdays after school from 3:00-5:30 p.m. If your child is interested in joining YAT, please have them come to a Monday meeting so I can give them the necessary paperwork to sign up.
* Paint like a Boss with Bob Ross– Friday November 16
Come join us for this soothing class of painting happy little trees and mountains. During this class we will setup a big screen at Heritage Community Center that displays step by step instructions from the one and only Bob Ross to recreate one of his beautiful scenery paintings. This class runs from 3:00-6:30 p.m. The cost is $25 and includes painting supplies, treats, hot cocoa, supervision, and transportation. Space is limited!
* Dodgeball Tournament- Tuesday November 20
This is middle school programs 3rd annual dodgeball tournament! Grab a friend or a whole team and come join us for a competitive, fun day! This day is a minimum day, so we will grab some lunch at the Irvine Spectrum and then onward to the tournament. This class costs $10 and provides transportation, equipment, supervision, and snacks!
* Disneyland Teen Camp Day- Wednesday Nove
Kick off Thanksgiving break with a trip to Disneyland to celebrate at the Happiest Place on earth. This Teen Camp Day costs $125 and includes a ticket to Disneyland, transportation, and supervision from 8:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. Price will vary if the student has a Disneyland Pass. Space is limited!
