Tutorial Starts Wednesday, September 13

Venado’s Tutorial program is dedicated time built into the school day for students to get extra help from teachers, start their homework, collaborate on projects with peers, or participate in special lessons to extend their learning.  Tutorial meets regularly on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays after lunch for 28 minutes.  Students will be provided with the weekly Tutorial offerings at the beginning of each week during Advisement and will sign up for Tutorials with their teachers using an online appointments system called FlexTime.  Teachers also have the ability to assign students and require them to attend their Tutorial.  Additionally, after the Trimester 1 Progress Reports come out, and every grading period thereafter, students who earned all A and B grades, as well as all 3 and 4 marks in Citizenship and Work Habits will receive a Tutorial Sticker, which gives them to option of signing up for a privileged area, such as the Library.  Students will need to have their Student I.D. card and Student Planner each day, and will use it to scan into Tutorial to manage attendance. Students will receive their picture I.D. cards this week during School Picture Day on September 12.
