National History Day is on January 19

We are pleased to extend an exciting invitation to our third annual National History Day (NHD) Showcase on January 19, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. in the Knights Plaza.  This is an opportunity to view your child’s hard work, and their diligence, and dedication to this authentic historical thinking project. Students have had the opportunity to learn the habits of mind of a historian that extend outside the history classroom. 

Please join us in celebrating your child’s hard work as they have researched topics for this year’s theme: Frontiers in History. There will be an awards ceremony that will recognize the top contestants in each project category who will represent Venado Middle School at the Orange County NHD competition on March 11, 2023 at the Orange County Department of Education.
