MUSIC EVENTS

This month will have 4 major performances/events for the Venado music department. Parents of music students, please see Mrs. Venlet’s CANVAS page for more details and stay tuned for letters home with all music students. Mark your calendars and see you there to support our fabulous musicians:

* IHS Pink Out Game at the Irvine High School football stadium - Friday, October 5 from 5:15-9:30 p.m. All Venado 8th grade band members will perform in the stands with the IHS Mighty Marching Vaqueros. We will play the pep tunes to cheer on the team and watch the Mighty Marching Vaqueros halftime show.

* String Serenade at the Irvine High School Theatre - Wednesday, October 10 from 6:30-9 p.m. Both Venado Orchestras will perform a joint concert with the IHS orchestras and wind ensemble.

* Music Picture Day at Venado Middle School - Tuesday, October 23 during each music class. Students will come to school in their concert performance dress to take our class pictures for the year book and for individual purchase, if parents choose to do so. Information will go home soon.

* Band Spectacular at the Irvine High School Stadium - Tuesday, October 30 from 5:30-9 p.m. Both Venado Bands will perform in a district-wide event for all middle school and high school band students.
