CITY OF IRVINE MIDDLE SCHOOL PROGRAM (MSP)

The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities during non-school hours. Students are encouraged to participate in the development and implementation of program activities that focus on community service, personal skill development, and social recreation. Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.

Youth Action Team (YAT) – Mondays & Wednesdays

YAT is a free after-school program where students go on volunteer projects throughout Orange County. Meetings are Mondays after school from 3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. in the commons, and projects are Wednesdays after school from 3:00 p.m - 5:30 p.m. If your child is interested in joining YAT, please have them come to a Monday meeting so I can give them the necessary paperwork to sign up.

Co-ed Lacrosse – Tuesdays and Thursdays April 23 – May 16

Calling all athletes! This month MSP is running after-school co-ed Lacrosse! This is a fun program for beginners and for experienced players. Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. and will be hosted at Jeffrey Trails Middle School. This class costs $19 and includes supervision and coaching, a t-shirt, and transportation to and from district wide tournament. Space is limited! Gnarly Outdoor Adventures – Fridays April 26 – May 17

Grab your friends for 4 afternoons of outdoor fun & experiences throughout OC! Activities include rock climbing, paddle boarding, hiking, zip-lining/ropes course, and archery tag! Beach Bonfire Party – Friday May 24

Get ready for S’more fun with the Middle School Programs! We are having another Beach Bonfire Party at Corona Del Mar Beach to kick off summer break! Come join us and swim, play beach volleyball, football, frisbee, or simply just hang out and listen to music. Transportation, supervision, dinner, snacks, drinks, and s’mores around the bonfire are included in this class.
