Venado has been recognized by the California PBIS Coalition for successful PBIS implementation at the GOLD level. This is awarded to acknowledge the efforts in implementing the core features of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). As a Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) school, we teach the expected behaviors and define our Venado school culture from day one: Honest, On Time, Noble, On Task, Respectful and Responsible (HONOR). Positive behavior is acknowledged and shaped systematically through the use of Honor Cards, weekly prize drawings, monthly lunch celebrations, the Venado student store, and other incentives. We are proud to receive this gold-level recognition and will continue to support our students through PBIS this year!
