Congratulations to our girls Harvest Cup soccer team for winning the Harvest Cup Soccer Tournament! The team recorded wins against Vista Verde 2-0, and Sierra Vista 1-0 to advance to the Harvest Cup Finals where they defeated Lakeside Middle School 1-0 to win the championship. Venado is very proud of all your hard work and perseverance in being the 38th Annual Harvest Cup Champions!!
The Venado boys team finished the tournament with a 1-1 record. While they lost their opening game to Vista Verde by a score of 4-2, they rallied and won their second game by a score of 6-4 over South Lake.
We would like to commend both the Venado Boys and Girls teams for participating in the Annual Harvest Cup Soccer Tournament, and for showing true Venado spirit, and doing their absolute best in the tournament.
We would like to extend a big thank you to the players and parents for their enthusiastic support and cooperation in making this a fun and exciting event, and to the City of Irvine for hosting this great event.
We would especially like to thank Mr. Irving Kau for volunteering to coach the Girls team and Mr. Kevin Vuong for coaching our Boys team. We truly appreciate all their hard work and contribution towards coaching the teams from Venado.
