Members of the School Site Council (SSC) participate in developing recommendations in matters pertaining to Venado and its educational program. The SSC is made up of a representative group of teachers, parents, students, and administrators who serve a two year term on the council. Meetings are held three times per year, once per trimester, and usually convene on the third Thursday of the month from 3:15-4:15 p.m.

Seventh grade students will be provided an opportunity to run for two Student Representative positions on the SSC. Student Interest Forms may be picked up from the front office beginning Monday, September 10 and are due by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18. An election will be held in Homeroom on Thursday, September 20.

Parents/guardians will also be provided the opportunity to run for a Parent Representative position on the SSC. Currently, we have two open positions for parents of 7th grade students. If you are interested in running for a position, please submit the School Site Council Parent Interest Form, which can be found in the Venado front office beginning on Monday, September 10. The deadline for submitting the interest form is Tuesday, September 18 at 4:00 p.m. An election will take place online (electronic ballot) from Thursday, September 20 until Thursday, September 27.
