Residency Verification Process

As you may recall, IUSD had implemented the Electronic Residency Verification (ERV) in February last year. Families whose addresses could not be verified through the new electronic program were then required to submit proofs of residency to their child’s school to fulfill this requirement. However, this year, the Office of Student Services is working towards implementing this project in August. As such, Residency Verification will not be required this Spring and will be pushed to the beginning of the 2021/2022 school year.

Residence verification is an integral part of the student enrollment process for all Irvine Unified School District families. The basis for this requirement is stated in the Administrative Regulations for Irvine Unified School District Board Policy 5111, Admission/Residency. A copy of the policy is available on the district website at the following link on the district website: https://iusd.org/about/board-education/board-policies/admissionresidency
