Third trimester progress reports will be posted on the evening of Friday April 19, 2019. Please sign in to your Parent Portal account at www.myiusd.org to see if your child received a progress report or not. For step-by-step directions on how to view progress reports on the Parent Portal, please see step 5 of the document posted on our website: https://goo.gl/SwxnZ3 Celebrate accomplishments and help students come up with a plan for addressing areas of needed improvement. Even though students at this age want greater levels of independence and freedom, it’s still important for parents to actively monitor their child’s educational progress.
I highly encourage all parents to continue to monitor teacher gradebooks on the Parent Portal at least weekly. For step-by-step directions on how to view teacher gradebooks on the Parent Portal, please review this document posted on our website: https://goo.gl/SwxnZ3. More frequent monitoring may be required for students who are struggling in one or more classes. Parents should monitor overall grade percentages in each class and look for trends. Red boxes mean there are missing assignments. Students with low grade percentages and missing assignments will need more support from parents at home. Please consider reaching out to teachers and/or our school counselors, as needed.
