Eligibility for School Activities:
Students who maintain their eligibility are invited to join our HONOR Extended Lunch activities and attend our school dances. The eligibility criteria is as follows:

Minimum 2.0 GPA

Fewer than 2 Fs in classes

Fewer than 4 total tardies

Fewer than 2 Needs Improvement (N) and/or no Unsatisfactory (U) marks in citizenship

No egregious behavior incidents (i.e. suspensions).
To participate in the end-of-the-year activities (last HONOR Extended Lunch on May 24 and the 8th grade Promotion Dance on May 25), we use data from the Trimester 3 Progress Report period (February 27 to April 14.) The students will be notified of their eligibility status on Monday, May 1. We would love all of our students to be able to participate in our fun activities and are proud that almost 90% of our students maintained their eligibility. In some cases, a student who is ineligible can earn their eligibility back by following the appeal process and showing improvement in their grades, citizenship, and attendance. Please check in with your child on Monday evening to see if they received an ineligibility letter from Mrs. Van Dam.
