The goal of the Middle School Program is to engage youth in positive social-recreational activities during non-school hours. Students are encouraged to participate in program activities that focus on community service, personal skill development, and social recreation.  Services are provided in cooperation with the Irvine Unified School District.

  • Youth Action Team (YAT) – Mondays & Wednesdays, January 19 - May 25

Spring YAT session is almost here! Have your students join YAT for an opportunity to do after-school community service-based projects for nonprofit agencies throughout Orange County! Meetings are Mondays after school from 3:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. in the Knights Plaza, and projects are Wednesdays after school usually from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. If your child is interested in joining YAT, please sign them up at yourirvine.org keyword “MSP” to see all activities.   • No School Day Teen Camp– Friday, February 18th (Disneyland California Adventure)

Join your friends on no-school days for some fun at theme parks! The cost includes ticket, supervision, and transportation. $69 for Knott's and Disneyland pricing is $180. Register at YourIrvine.org search keyword “MSP” to see all activities. (Course #49998)

  • Fiscally Fit! – Tuesdays & Thursdays, February 3rd - February 22nd

Give your students an opportunity to learn how to get financially and physically fit! Our course offers students the chance to practice building an investment portfolio, become more financially literate and develop healthy habits through exercise! Classes are at Heritage Community Center in the Lounge from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $28 which includes protein snack, t-shirt, activities,  and supervision.   • MSP E-Sports League– Fridays, February 4th - March 18th

A new era of sports begins with you! Calling all Valorant game heroes to join an IUSD middle school gaming competition where students will compete against their friends and peers in a fun and safe environment. E-Sports is growing as a legitimate sport among college campuses, so sign up and see what it's all about! 

***Program is for six weeks five Fridays and one Thursday***

  • Gal-entine's Day Self Empowerment (Winter)– Friday, February 11th

The Middle School Program will be hosting its third annual Galentine’s Day event virtually this year! This girl empowerment workshop will have discussions about self-compassion, manifesting long term goals, self-care activities, a self-defense course and learning about different empowering foods to give you energy throughout the day.   • MSP COED Volleyball– Tuesdays & Thursdays, February 15th - March 10th

Bump, set, and spike in this fun, structured after-school program that covers volleyball skills such as serving and passing. Teams compete against other middle schools at the end of the session in a district-wide tournament.
