Our team is busy planning for our in person Promotion Ceremonies for our 8th grade students using guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH). To observe these guidelines, schools across the district are holding multiple ceremonies per promoting and graduating classes. At Venado, our current plan is to have 2 ceremonies approximately 2 hours apart, which will include students in our IVA program. We are collaborating with our feeder schools, Greetree, College Park, Deerfield, and Irvine High School on the coordination of ceremony dates and times so that there are no conflicts for families. At this time, we have not finalized our date. What we can share with families is that the ceremonies will be held sometime between Wednesday, June 2 and Friday, June 4. The ceremonies may be in the morning or afternoon. We will communicate with families once the date and times of the ceremonies have been finalized. Promotion planning is significantly more challenging this year than it has been in the past and so we appreciate everyone’s patience and flexibility as we finalize plans.
